Sometimes I am so in love with a stone that I want it to go into a special piece. This Boulder Opal is one such stone. I had it in my collection for several years and kept taking it out to look at it and then putting it away, unable to find a design that was right for it. Then one day this design came to me and I knew it was worthy of this spectacular stone.

The Boulder Opal is set into a tall 18k Gold bezel inside a shadow box. A lacy frame of Gold disks and gemstones in Gold bezels is prong set into the box around the Opal giving it complexity and depth. The Lavender Sapphires, Pink Tourmaline and Tanzanite sparkle around the Opal as well as bringing out the purples, pinks and blues in the Opal. There are also sparks of green in the Opal's depths.

This is a truly unique One of a Kind heirloom piece.
