Aurora Pyritized Ammonite & Sapphire Ring - size 8 1/2

This lovely Aurora ring features an Ammonite fossil whose organic material has been replace by pyrite. This gives the fossil a lovely metallic feel with shimmery pyrite crystals filling the chambers. I set this rare fossil in a tall Fine Silver bezel and paired it with bi-colored Sapphires in oranges and pale pinks and a brilliant cut pink Garnet. The small stones are all set in 18k Gold bezels and the Silver bezel is accented with little 18k Gold granules. This lovely is a statement ring while at the same time being low-key and elegant. Ring is size 8 1/2.

• gemstones: Pyritized Ammonite (15.45cts), rose cut Sapphires (1.62cts) in oranges and pale pinks, Garnet (.18cts) w/ brilliant cut.
• finishes: Fine Silver bezel for Ammonite, 18k Gold bezels for smaller stones, 18k Gold granules, Sterling Silver for balance. Ring has been oxidized with a light polish for high spots.
• size: head of ring measures 1 inch wide by1 1/8 inches tall. Band is half round 2mm thick by 6mm wide and has been eased for optimal comfort. Ring is size 8 1/2 but fits slightly smaller (8 1/4) because it's so wide. I can size this beauty up about 1/2 a size.
