Mariposa Butterfly w/ Gemstones Necklace

The Mariposa necklace is a bit of a departure for me, it's rare for me to do jewelry that is anything but abstract. But I have been experimenting with whimsy and what is more whimsical than a butterfly. This beauty is inspired by stained glass work and features a pierced butterfly all in Sterling Silver with some lovely little gemstone rounds added: Amethyst, Garnet and Spessartite Garnet. This pendant has been painstaking hand sawed from a sheet of Sterling Silver.

• gemstones: rose cut Amethyst, rose cut Garnet & brilliant cut Spessartite Garnet.
• finishes: oxidized and polished Sterling Silver.
• size: pendant measures 1 5/8 inches wide by just over 1 1/4 inches tall. Chain is petite rolo chain is adjustable from 16, 17 and 18 inches in length. Clasp is a small lobster clasp. Please contact me if you would like a different clasp at no additional charge.
